Services We Provide

We provide the following orthodontic services:

Invisalign

Invisalign allows patients to straighten their teeth with convenience and discretion. The Invisalign system creates a unique series of clear plastic aligners that gradually move teeth into optimal positions. The patient changes aligners every 1 to 2 weeks to allow for proper tooth movement. Patients must wear them at all times except while eating and drinking. Invisalign works best for older teens and adults.

Two-Phase Orthodontics

The two phases of modern orthodontics are Early Orthodontics for Children and Adolescent Orthodontics. Early orthodontics focuses on intervention and guiding the mouth to optimal development, while adolescent treatment focuses on moving the adult teeth to their ideal positions. Ideally, every child should see an orthodontist by age 7, allowing treatment to begin at a young age if necessary.

Braces

Our practice offers traditional metal braces, Damon braces, and titanium braces. Traditional metal braces are durable and practical. Damon braces allow for fluid movement of the teeth along the archwire. Titanium braces are ideal for patients with metal allergies. Each type of braces provides effective treatment.

Orthognathic Surgery

Orthognathic surgery repositions the jaws to help with a misaligned bite and other pressing orthodontic issues. In cooperation with an oral surgeon, orthognathic surgery significantly increases the chance of successful treatment in patients with complex bite problems.

TMJ Treatment

TMJ, or temporomandibular joint disorder, is a painful condition that can interfere with your quality of life. It causes facial and joint pain and can lead to arthritis. Our practice provides the following:

  • Custom night guards to reposition your jaw as you sleep.
  • Orthodontic treatment to align the teeth and jaws.
  • Oral surgery referrals in severe cases.

Why Choose Hass Family Orthodontics?

Frequently Asked Questions about Orthodontic Services

Here are selected patient questions about our services:

Why do children need early orthodontic treatment?

Orthodontists should see children early because intervention allows faster, more complete treatment before all permanent teeth erupt. Orthodontists can use equipment like palate expanders and space maintainers to ensure enough room for permanent teeth to come in, improving the patient's chances of successful orthodontic treatment.

How long will it take to straighten my smile with braces?

The average length of orthodontic treatment is about 16 to 24 months, but it can take longer depending on the severity of the patient's problems. If children receive early treatment, they can finish with braces at a faster rate.

Can a child with braces play an instrument or participate in sports?

Yes, children with braces can participate in their everyday activities. It takes time to become accustomed to wearing braces and playing a musical instrument, but young players quickly learn how. Playing a sport with braces usually requires a custom mouth guard to protect the teeth and the whole mouth.
